Airbus A350-900ULR: THE MONSTER RANGE AIRCRAFT

Airbus A350 is a wide bodied aircraft designed to carry approx 200- 280 passengers, its usually deployed in some of the Ultra Long Distances.

In 2018, Singapore Airlines launched the world's longest aircraft from Singapore to America. The plane that is being deployed on this route is the Airbus 350ULR, one of the most efficient aircraft's in the wide bodied segment(Although Boeing 777x is still away from its entry to know its range). So what exactly has Airbus done different with this aircraft.?

Well according to Airbus to achieve the longer range flight it has made few modifications in the existing aircraft such as increasing the fuel tank capacity(upto 24000 litres more), they have also reduced excess weight by removing few seats from the aircraft to achieve the long range part. There are also some physical changes made to the aircraft like a longer wing let design and some modifications in the cargo hold area.

Altogether its an Interesting aircraft as the seats are less compared to its sibling aircraft's and the weight is typically more due to increase in the fuel tank capacity.
