Airbus A321LR And A321XLR*

If there is a family of aircraft's that is hard to remember the names its going to be the A320 family, right from A-320 to A-321 there are various models in the aircraft, that makes it confusing to remember.

Lets take a look back at June 2019 when Airbus made an important announcement about the development of a new aircraft, yes you might have guessed it right the 321 XLR, this aircraft would revolutionize the narrow bodied aircraft industry even a greater extent. What Airbus has proposed is that with the XLR version of 321 Series they would increase the range of the already existing A321LR to extra 700nm. That would mean that the customers would be able to fly a narrower bodied aircraft to new longer routes which were practically impossible earlier. And HOLA one the first day itself Airbus got an Increadible amount of orders(figures unknown). So, let see what are the changes that Airbus had made:

Range 4000nm(7400km) 4700nm( 8700km)

Fuel 20% less burn 30% less

So as you can see from the above table the 321XLR offers more range and a lesser Fuel burn than its previous generation all of this is in taking into consideration that air travel is changing and at the same time the environment needs to be maintained with more efficient aircrafts with new technologies.

Well it would be interesting to see how Airbus would pull this aircraft in the future, as the deliveries are expected to be start by 2023.
